Bio

21 Savage is a stage name of Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph who earned his first Grammy in 2020. He got engaged into rapping at 21 after losing his pal in a shootout and being severely wounded himself. In 2014, he presented his debut song Picky and in a year, he released a mixtape titled The Slaughter Tape.

21 Savage rose to fame in 2016 after recording Savage Mode EP plus X single featuring Future. The latter reached the platinum certification. The following year, the artist presented Issa Album. It was followed by another album, I Am > I Was, in 2018. Along with recording solo songs, the musician has collaborated with various artists, comprising Cardi B, J. Cole, Post Malone and Nicki Minaj.

Besides, 21 Savage tried modeling by walking the runway at Philipp Plein’s fashion show. He also plans to create his own movie and YouTube animated series titled Year 2100. Additionally, the artist deals with philanthropy. He launched 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign, aspiring to help children to learn how to make money and save them.

Actually, 21 Savage isn’t an angel. In youth, he sold drugs and was a part of a local street gang. He even took part in a robbery and a car theft. Moreover, the celebrity was arrested because of the expired visa in 2019 as he is a UK citizen who has lived in the US since 1999.

In 2017-2018, 21 Savage was romantically linked to model Amber Rose. In one of his interviews, he revealed that he had three children, but their mothers’ names remained a big mystery.

By the way, the rapper is a practitioner of Ifá, a traditional religion of the Yoruba people in Nigeria.

A curious fact: 21 Savage has a tattoo of a dagger on his forehead. It’s a tribute to his brother Quantivayus who was killed in a shooting. He had the same inking.
