Alana Hadid is a daughter of Mohamed Hadid and Mary Butler who was his spouse till 1992. She is a stylist, personal shopper and fashion designer. She also dedicates much time to philanthropy and is a board member of charitable organization Make-A-Wish Los Angeles.
Alana is a creative director of T-shirts brand Current Moji and La Detresse, a company selling creative unisex hoodies and jackets. By the way, Gigi loves the latter and is often seen wearing items by La Detresse.
Alana Hadid also works with many other brands. Thus, she collaborated with fashion brand Lou & Grey, Scottish brand Strathberry for creation of their bags with leopard prints and developed a collection of phones cases for Fifth&Ninth. Moreover, Hadid is the face of jewelry label Colette.
Alana is very close with her sister Marielle and paternal half-siblings Anwar, Gigi and Bella. She states that they are very protective and supportive of one another. The fashion icon often gives recommendations to her sisters and even loans things to them. Alana revealed that Gigi wore her custom-made lace gown to a prom while Bella and she wore each other’s clothes on vacation. A curious fact: Alana is a well-educated woman. She studied political science at the University of Arizona and got a master’s degree in international relations at Bond University.
