Amanda Lucas is a daughter of filmmaker George Lucas and his first wife Marcia Lucas. She was adopted by the couple in 1981.
Being raised in the show business atmosphere, Amanda tried her hand at acting in Star Wars’ The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith as well as appeared in The Green and Chick Magnets films. She was also a hip-hop dance teacher for 10 years before she found her real vocation.
Amanda Lucas started to practice Muay Thai with her husband just to get in shape and fell in love with martial arts. She proceeded with learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling. In 2008, she became a professional MMA fighter. Though Lucas lost in her debut fight, she went on winning the next five matches. In 2012, she gained a victory at DEEP Openweight Championship after beating Yumiko Hotta and got to the list of top 15 women in the featherweight division.
In 2013, Bobby Razak directed the short film Lucas that told the story of Amanda. The video featured not only the woman but also her stellar father. By the way, Amanda tells that George and Marcia have always been supportive of everything she does. Though they prefer not to visit her fights, they watch the videos.
Amanda is happily married to Jason Hallikainen, a businessman who had a small part in Revenge of the Sith. In 2014, they welcomed a son named Felix.
A curious fact: Amanda was a bridesmaid at her dad’s wedding with Mellody Hobson.
