Amiyah Scott is one of the most famed transgender actresses and models. When she drew her first breath, her name was Arthur. However, she started the transition from a man to a woman in her teenage years and finished it at 17. As a teenager, Amiyah made her mark by pioneering the New Orleans underground ballroom scene. She later worked as a makeup artist before launching her television and social media career.
Scott rose to fame thanks to YouTube and Instagram. In 2015, she was cast for the reality series Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she left the show due to creative differences with production. In 2016, she gained a part of Cotton in the Star television series.
In 2019, Amiyah Scott appeared on podcast LGBTQ&A and published her book Memoirs of a Mermaid. Moreover, she has her own cosmetics line plus sells T-shirts and caps on her site.
Amiyah is an advocate of the LGBTQ community. She also established a foundation titled Transgender Empowerment of America (TEA). Suffering from bullying in her school years, Scott now aspires to motivate other people by her example and inspire them to never forget about their goals no matter what people say. Her motivational speeches frequently concern the topics of bullying, self-esteem and self-acceptance.
By the way, Scott tells that Lil’ Kim and Rihanna are her style icons.
A curious fact: Amiyah doesn’t eat fruits and vegetables. However, she loves fried seafood, gumbo and croissants.
