Actually, Arnold Schwarzenegger is associated with a vast number of things, but, first of all, he is famed for his acting talent and muscular body. He got engaged into bodybuilding in teenage years and at 20, he became Mr. Universe and proceeded with 7 Mr. Olympia titles.
In 1970, Arnold made a big screen debut in Hercules in New York and gained wider recognition after starring in Conan the Barbarian. However, everyone will admit that his most memorable role is the one of Terminator in the eponymous movie series. Among the performer’s other notable films are Raw Deal, Predator, Twins, Total Recall, Kindergarten Cop, Junior, Escape Plan plus Aftermath.
But people who have fame and money tend to have lust after power, so Schwarzenegger got involved in politics. He joined the Republican Party before being elected as Governor of California in 2003. Having served two terms till 2011, he left the post but still remained a political activist.
Additionally, Arnold Schwarzenegger has tried his hand at business. Starting with a bricklaying company, he later sold fitness goods, invested in real estate and restaurants, and established a production company. What is more, the celebrity authored 6 books and hosted The New Celebrity Apprentice show.
In 1969-1974, Arnold was in a relationship with teacher Barbara Outland. In 1977-1978, he dated hairdresser’s assistant Sue Moray and journalist Maria Shriver before making the final choice in favor of the latter. The lovebirds tied the knot on April 26, 1986, and proceeded with becoming the parents of four: daughters Katherine and Christina, sons Patrick and Christopher.
However, in 2011, Schwarzenegger disclosed that he had son Joseph, born back in 1997, with their housekeeper Mildred Baena and the spouses called it quits. Their marriage was dissolved in 2017. Currently, the celebrity is romantically linked to physical therapist Heather Milligan.
A curious fact: when Arnold was a teenager, his parents feared that he was a gay as the walls of his room were decorated with the pictures of male bodybuilders.
