Bart Freundlich is famed for his directing skills. After trying his hand at short films, he directed his first full-length movie The Myth of Fingerprints in 1997. He later created World Traveler, Catch That Kid, Trust the Man, The Rebound, Wolves plus After the Wedding. Besides, Bart wrote screenplays for the majority of his films and produced them.
Additionally, Freundlich worked on television. He directed some episodes of Californication, Prime Suspect, Mozart in the Jungle and Believe series.
Bart got romantically involved with Julianne Moore in 1996 after meeting on the set of The Myth of Fingerprints. They welcomed son Caleb in 1997 and daughter Liv in 2002. On August 23, 2003, the lovebirds finally got hitched.
By the way, Moore had parts in almost all Freundlich’s films. And though the 10-year age gap initially frightened the actress, she revealed that the age evaporated over time.
A curious fact: Bart’s last name means friendly in German.
