Christine Baumgartner is a handbags designer who is most famed for being a spouse of movie legend Kevin Costner.
Having got a degree in business at California State University Fullerton, Baumgartner started her career path with modeling. In 2004, she started creating handbags under the CBC brand. Initially, the woman wanted to create a practical handbag for herself and worked on the designs. After Costner saw them, he encouraged Christine to start a business. The woman admits that her husband’s fame has helped to draw attention to her brand, but she credits her hard work for its success.
Christine Baumgartner got acquainted with The Bodyguard actor at a golf course back in the 1980s, when Kevin was still married to Cindy. In 1998, they encountered once again and romantic feelings arose between them. In 2002, the couple called it quits as Christine, who is 19 years younger, wanted to have kids while Kevin didn’t have such plans. However, Costner had no desire to lose such a great woman and proposed to Baumgartner in 2003.
The lovebirds tied knots on September 25, 2004, in Aspen, Colorado. Christine’s father Jim drove her in an antique truck for the ceremony, among the guests at which were Bruce Willis, Tim Allen, Don Johnson and Jack Nicholson. The newlyweds spent the honeymoon in St. Andrews, Scotland.
In 2007, Christine gave birth to their firstborn, son Cayden. In 2009, their younger son Hayes drew his first breath. And in 2010, the family was blessed with a little princess named Grace.
A curious fact: in free time, Christine loves shopping, reading and traveling while her favorite holiday destination is Paris.
