Khaled Mohamed Khaled, who is more famed as DJ Khaled, is a music artist and producer. Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, he was raised by Palestinian parents who played Arab music and sparked their son’s interest in this kind of art. The artist has brother Alaa, an actor who uses stage name Alec Ledd, and a sister, whose name remains a mystery.
Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Khaled worked at a record store and for 66 Jamz radio station in Miami. At the dawn of his DJ career, he performed with hip hop band Terror Squad. At that time, he used many nicknames, among which was Arab Attack that was dropped by the musician after the September 11 attacks.
In 2006, DJ Khaled presented Listennn…the Album but gained fame only in 2012 after the release of single I’m on One. He reached worldwide fame in 2016 after presenting platinum-certified Major Key that was followed by two more platinum albums titled Grateful and Father of Asahd. At the moment, the celebrity has 11 albums in total.
Besides, this talented man collaborated with many other stars, including Pitbull, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Drake and Kanye West. He is the winner of Grammy, American Music Award, MTV Video Music Award plus 5 ASCAP Awards.
What is more, Khaled appeared in Bad Boys for Life and Pitch Perfect 3 movies plus had a voice part in Spies in Disguise. He also penned the book The Keys, designed a furniture line and opened Finga Licking restaurant in Florida.
Since 2016, the celebrity has been engaged to Nicole Tuck but he hasn’t shared if they are already married or are still planning their big day. In 2016, the couple welcomed son Asahd. And in 2020, the family was expanded by another baby boy named Aalam.
A curious fact: DJ Khaled has a very big sneaker collection that includes thousands of pairs. He even had to make a separate door to ceiling closet for his sneakers.
