Elizabeth Ann Hanks is the only daughter of Tom Hanks, whom he shares with his first wife Samantha Lewes. Her mother died of bone cancer in 2002.
Being a child, Elizabeth tried her hand at acting in her dad’s movies That Thing You Do! and Forrest Gump. However, it seems that she had no aspirations to follow in her parents’ footsteps and decided to become a writer. Her articles have been published in various editions, comprising Guardian, The New York Times and The Huffington Post. Moreover, Hanks works on her first novel for kids titled Piper Peregrine vs. the Consortium for Better Thinking.
Elizabeth Hanks is a well-educated woman as well. She studied at The Archer School for Girls and got a bachelor’s degree at Vassar College. She also was a student of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
A few facts are revealed about Elizabeth’s love life as she never comments on it. She was rumored to be married once, but we didn’t find any proof. Though she doesn’t have children of her own, she adores spending time with her three nieces.
Elizabeth is very close with her famed dad. She often accompanies him to various events and loves spending her free time with him. Thus, Elizabeth and her siblings joined Tom at the ceremony of 2020 Golden Globe. And after Hanks received his honor, his daughter dedicated an Instagram post to him, telling how proud she was.
