Jasmine Mickael Jordan is a daughter of Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy. She is famed as Micki Jae on social media.
While growing up, Jasmine had no idea how legendary her dad was and even had to Google his name in order to understand why everyone was talking about him. Though she never wanted to be a professional athlete, she played basketball at school and even worked as a volunteer coach at Michael Jordan Flight School Summer Camp.
Having graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in sports management, Jasmine Jordan became a basketball operations coordinator for her dad’s team Charlotte Hornets. She takes care that the players have their sneakers and apparel, schedules photoshoots and other media appearances.
Additionally, Jasmine is a Jordan brand executive. It was she who was responsible for the creation of the Jordan Heiress collection. She also appeared on the cover of Rolling Out magazine in 2020 and was featured in The Last Dance documentary about her dad.
While studying at Syracuse, Jasmine got romantically involved with basketball player Rakeem Christmas. The latter popped the question in 2018 and in 2019, the couple welcomed son Rakeem Michael.
A curious fact: Jasmine is obsessed with sneakers and can boast of a 500-pair collection. Her favorite Jordans are 1 and 11. She chooses the first because they are the origin of everything while the latter have curious stories behind them, whether they are the Breds or the Conchords.
