Jason Segel is a multi-talented personality though he is most famed for his television and movie credits. Hailing from Los Angeles, he was brought up by mom Jillian and lawyer dad Alvin alongside siblings Adam and Alison.
Jason’s entertainment industry career started in 1998 after he embarked on a role in Can’t Hardly Wait. However, he gained popularity thanks to starring in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I Love You, Man, Bad Teacher, Jeff, Who Lives at Home, Come Sunday, The Muppets, The Five-Year Engagement plus Sex Tape films. The performer also wrote an executive produced the latter three plus provided a screenplay for Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Jason Segel’s television debut happened in 1999 in Freaks and Geeks. He later had a part in Undeclared and gained worldwide recognition thanks to playing in How I Met Your Mother. In 2020, he created Dispatches from Elsewhere series.
However, Segel demonstrates his writing talent not only through his screenplays but also through his young adult novels. The first one titled Nightmares! was presented in 2014 and was followed by 6 more publications. His latest novel OtherLife was published in 2019.
From 2001 to 2007, Jason was romantically linked to actress Linda Cardellini. In 2012-2013, he had a brief affair with Michelle Williams. Since 2014, landscape photographer Alexis Mixter has been the star’s girlfriend.
A curious fact: Segel became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. He even married a couple at The Tonight Show.
