John Legend

John Stephens, who is more famed as John Legend, is famed for his singing and songwriting talents. He is 10-time Grammy winner. Moreover, he is the first black artist to gain Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

In 2004, Legend presented his debut album Get Lifted, which still remains his most successful album and is certified 2-time platinum. In total, the artist has released 6 studio albums plus collaborated with The Roots on Wake Up!. Moreover, he worked with some other music stars like Jay-Z, Kanye West and Alicia Keys.

Furthermore, John Legend performed a soundtrack for Beauty and The Beast together with Ariana Grande, wrote an Oscar winning soundtrack for Selma plus had the lead part in Jesus Christ Superstar concert production. He was a judge on ABC’s show Duets and was a coach at The Voice.

Legend is also interested in cinema. He produced Southside with You, Crow: The Legend and Jingle Jangle movies along with having parts in Soul Men and La La Land.

John got acquainted with Chrissy Teigen in 2006 on the set of his music video Stereo. He popped the question in 2011 during their vacation in the Maldives and espoused his sweetheart on September 14, 2013, in Como, Italy. That place was special for the couple as they traveled there back in 2007 and during that trip, Chrissy understood that she wanted to marry John one day. The newlyweds spent the honeymoon in Portofino. In 2016, Chrissy and John welcomed their daughter Luna. And in 2018, their son Miles drew his first breath.

By the way, Legend shared that it wasn’t love at first sight. While he was on tour for about a year, he and Chrissy texted a lot and he fell in love with her wittiness and sense of humor.

A curious fact: Legend was a wedding singer in his teenage years. He later performed at his own wedding as well as at the nuptials of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
