John Malkovich started his career with stage acting and made a Broadway debut in Death of a Salesman play that brought him Emmy. In 1978, he first appeared on the big screen in A Wedding film. However, he earned wider recognition along with an Oscar nomination after playing in Places in the Heart in 1984.
Malkovich’s other credits include Making Mr. Right, Dangerous Liaisons, In the Line of Fire, Mary Reilly, Being John Malkovich, Ripley’s Game, The Man in the Iron Mask, Changeling, Red, The Wilde Wedding, Bird Box and Ava films plus Crossbones, Billions, The New Pope and Space Force TV series.
Additionally, he directed The Dancer Upstairs and Hideous Man films. He also wrote the latter. Moreover, the star wrote the movie 100 Years that will be released only in 2115.
John was married to actress Glenne Headly in 1982-1988. In 1989, he tied knots with Nicoletta Peyran, who gave birth to his kids Amandine and Loewy.
A curious fact: in 2013, John saved a life of an old man in Toronto who slashed his throat after falling on scaffolding.
