Kelly Clarkson became famous worldwide thanks to her incredible singing and songwriting talents. After her victory at American Idol show in 2002, Kelly’s career started to develop at light speed. The same year, her first song A Moment Like This was presented and named the best-selling single of the year.
In 2003, Clarkson released her debut album Thankful, which gained platinum certification. It was followed by her second and the most successful album for now, Breakaway, which became multi-platinum. In total, Kelly has released 8 albums to date and managed to earn 3 Grammys, 3 MTV Video Music, 4 American Music, 6 Teen Choice plus 2 Academy of Country Music Awards.
However, though Kelly Clarkson concentrates on her music career, she also develops some other sides of her personality. For example, she is an actress who made a debut in Issues 101 film in 2002 and also played in From Justin to Kelly as well as a voice artist who worked for The Star and Ugly Dolls.
Clarkson is also famed as a coach at The Voice show along with having a great number of guest appearance credits at other popular shows and television series. In 2019, the celebrity launched her own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Additionally, Kelly is an author of children’s books about the adventures of a little girl named River Rose. The books were inspired by Kelly’s daughter and each book contains a song created by the celebrity.
Along with building her career, Kelly Clarkson doesn’t forget to help other people and dedicates much time to philanthropy. She deals with environmental issues, tries to beat poverty along with supporting many charitable organizations like Save the Children and Feeding America.
A curious fact: prior to her Hollywood career, Kelly dreamed about becoming a marine biologist but gave up on that idea after watching Jaws.
