Kim Basinger entered show business by being a model. Having started her acting career in 1976, she had small parts in many TV shows before landing the starring role in Katie: Portrait of a Centerfold. Among Kim’s other television credits are From Here to Eternity series and The Mermaid Chair film.
In 1981, Basinger debuted on the big screen in Hard Country and reached worldwide fame thanks to playing Domino Petachi in Never Say Never Again. Her other notable films include The Natural, 9½ Weeks, Batman, L.A. Confidential, No Mercy, Blind Date, The Door in the Floor, Cellular, The Sentinel and While She Was Out.
In 1980-1989, Kim was a spouse of makeup artist Ron Snyder-Britton. In 1993, she got hitched to Alec Baldwin after meeting him on the set of The Marrying Man. They welcomed daughter Ireland in 1995. However, their marriage was dissolved in 2002. Since 2014, the celebrity has been romantically linked to hairdresser Mitch Stone.
A curious fact: at school, Kim was so shy that even answering questions in a class was a challenge for her.
