Lamar Odom is a basketball player who is also famed for being an ex-spouse of Khloe Kardashian.
His professional career started in 1999 after he joined Los Angeles Clippers. However, Lamar reached more success and became a 2-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers. Being a part of the US national team, he won the World Championship in 2010 and was a bronze medalist of 2004 Olympics.
Moreover, Lamar Odom appeared in Van Wilder, Jack and Jill movies plus Entourage television series. In 2019, he competed at Dancing with the Stars. Odom is also an entrepreneur, who runs a music and film production company.
Odom was in relationship with fashion designer Liza Morales in 1995-2006. They gave birth to three children, daughter Destiny, sons Lamar and Jayden. The latter died being only 6 months old because of SIDS.
Lamar and Khloe Kardashian got acquainted in August 2009 at a party of the player’s teammates. Pretty soon, to be exact on September 27, 2009, they tied knots. Their nuptials were broadcast on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Later, the spouses launched their own project Khloe & Lamar as well as released two unisex fragrances. Their ways parted in 2013 and they filed for a divorce. In 2015, Odom was in coma after suffering several heart attacks and strokes because of excessive use of drugs and alcohol. Khloe postponed the divorce and their marriage was officially dissolved in 2016.
A curious fact: Lamar had to pass through many tragedies in his life. His dad suffered from cocaine addiction and abandoned him in infancy. The athlete’s mother died of cancer when he was a teenager. In 2011, his cousin was shot in New York and on his way home after the funeral, Odom’s car was involved in a car accident, which resulted in the death of a 15-year-old pedestrian.
