LaMelo Ball is the youngest representative of the famed Ball clan. He followed in his siblings’ footsteps and dedicated his life to basketball.
LaMelo started with playing for Chino Hills High School and became a state champion with them. In 2018, he and his sibling LiAngelo signed a contract with Prienai, a Lithuanian team, but left it later that year to represent Los Angeles Ballers in the Junior Basketball Association established by his dad. Having won the championship with the Ballers, LaMelo made a short return to college basketball by playing for SPIRE Institute.
In 2019-2020, LaMelo Ball represented Illawarra Hawks from Australian National Basketball League. In 2020, he became an NBL Rookie of the Year but left the team to make preparations for the NBA draft. In April 2020, the athlete and his manager Jermaine Jackson bought Hawks.
Moreover, LaMelo is a media star. He starred in Ball in the Family reality series and was featured in an episode of WWE Raw in 2017. The young man is also popular on social media having above 5 million followers on Instagram. Additionally, LaVar’s clothing and shoes company created signature shoes titled after him, Melo Ball 1.
By the way, Ball is a generous person. He donated his monthly salary at Hawks to aid to cope with the consequences of the Australian wildfire.
A curious fact: LaMelo loves animals. Along with having a dog, he is an owner of a race horse.
