Lauren Bowles is famed for her acting talent as well as for being a half-sister of Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
She fell in love with acting in seventh grade after taking part in the production of The Man Who Came to Dinner. Having studied theater at New York University, Lauren got her first professional role in television show Seinfeld in 1991, where her stellar sister played. In 2002, she obtained another part alongside Julia in Watching Ellie and appeared in Veep in 2016. Bowles is also noted for playing in True Blood series as well as for dozens of guest parts at other popular projects, including Ally McBeal, NCIS, CSI, Grey’s Anatomy plus Veronica Mars.
Lauren Bowles made a big screen debut in George of the Jungle in 1997. She also had parts in The Heartbreak Kid, Dance Flick, Hall Pass, The Starving Games and Underdog Kids.
Apart from acting, Bowles adores baking as she has a sweet tooth. Moreover, she is an environmental and political activist. Lauren is against animal testing laboratories and tries to raise awareness of the environment pollution.
Since May 27, 2005, Lauren has been happily married to actor Patrick Fischler with whom she got acquainted while both of them studied at The New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2009, the spouses welcomed their daughter Fia. By the way, Lauren and Patrick appeared together in Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2011 and starred in Haunted Trumpet video for Funny Or Die site.
A curious fact: Lauren loved watching True Blood before she became a part of its cast.
