Marjorie Elaine Harvey (nee Bridges) is a blogger, businesswoman and philanthropist. She earned popularity thanks to being a spouse of television star Steve Harvey. Marjorie launched fashion and beauty blog The Lady Loves Couture in 2007 and proceeded with selling bags and clothes on her online shop.
Marjorie got acquainted with Steve in the 1990s. Once, she visited Harvey’s performance at a comedy club in Memphis. She was late and attracted the comedian’s attention while making her way to the seat. Steve put his performance on a pause and was staring at the young woman. Afterwards, he joked that he was unaware of who that beauty was but he would marry her.
Nevertheless, Harvey wasn’t ready for the family at that time and disappeared. After his matrimony with Mary Lee failed, his bodyguard, who knew that Steve and Marjorie had a special connection, helped them to find each other once again. This time, Steve fulfilled his promise and espoused his sweetheart on June 25, 2007. Moreover, he adopted her three children from a previous marriage named Morgan, Jason and Lori. In her turn, Bridges became a stepmom to his four kids.
By the way, the star claims that it’s Marjorie who made him a better person and changed his life. Aspiring to help others, the spouses established a charitable organization dealing with youth education.
A curious fact: though Marjorie’s life seems to be a fairytale, she had some hard times. She used to be a spouse of drug dealer Jim Townsend. The man went to prison in the early 1990s but was released in 2017 and authored a memoir about his marriage to Bridges. In 2000, the woman tied knots with another drug kingpin named Donnell Woods. He is believed to be a father of her daughters and son.
