Bio

Matthew Rutler is a production assistant who worked on the sets of such movies as Surrogates, Law Abiding Citizen, The Proposal, The Social Network, Grown Ups and Edge of Darkness. He is also famed for being a fiancé of Christina Aguilera.

Rutler gained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Roger Williams University. And now, he is an investor as well as a Senior Vice President of Talent and Business Development at Master Class, a company selling video tutorials from successful people and celebrities. Moreover, he is also engaged into music being a guitarist at Nate Mott Band.

Matthew Rutler and Christina Aguilera met in 2009 when he was a production assistant on the set of Burlesque, where Christina starred. However, they started dating a bit later, after Christina separated from her then-husband Jordan Bratman. Rutler proposed to the pop star on Valentine’s Day in 2014. The same year, they welcomed their daughter Summer. Moreover, Matthew is a stepfather to Christina’s elder son Max. Though he isn’t the boy’s biological father, he loves Max and takes care of him. The family loves traveling and always tries to spend holidays together.

A curious fact: on his 31st birthday, Christina posted a video of Matthew with a birthday cake modeled after a giant cheeseburger and their daughter Summer sitting next to him. Aguilera remained behind the scenes singing Happy Birthday to her sweetheart.
