Michael Joseph Consuelos is the firstborn of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos who was named after his late great-grandfathers. He is a godson of Eva LaRue and Chris Bruno.
Michael studied film and TV production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in 2020. While being a student, he was a member of the university’s men’s cross country track team and carried out the internship at Blumhouse Productions in Los Angeles.
Being his dad’s absolute doppelganger, Michael portrayed Mark’s character Hiram Lodge in youth on Riverdale television show. Moreover, he had a part in The Bensonhurst Spelling Bee short film and provided his voice for Go, Diego! Go! and Duck Dodgers TV series.
Kelly never wanted her son to grow up privileged and taught him the value of hard work. Now, Michael has to pay his own rent and lives rather poor while struggling to find his place in the entertainment industry.
A curious fact: Ripa tells that Michael is the most honest person she knows who is terrible at lying. Simultaneously, she called his younger siblings trained, professional liars.
