Micheal Richard Antonio Neeson is an elder son of Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson. In 2018, he officially changed his last name to Richardson to pay a tribute to his mom, who passed away when he was only 13.
Actually, Natasha’s death made a huge impact on her firstborn. Being a teenager, Micheal suffered from drug and alcohol addiction. However, he managed to recover after visiting a wilderness therapy camp in Utah. At 19, Micheal Richardson opened a gallery called Maison Mais Non in London’s Soho and served as a fashion curator. He aspired to showcase clothes created by fashion school graduates from Central Saint Martins.
However, Micheal couldn’t resist the desire to follow in his parents’ footsteps and got engaged into acting though his dad didn’t like that idea. In 2013, he first appeared on the big screen in Anchorman 2 film and proceeded with playing in Vox Lux, Cold Pursuit and Made in Italy movies. By the way, he appeared in the latter two alongside Liam. Besides, Richardson had a part in Big Dogs series and off-Broadway play Nothing Gold Can Stay.
A curious fact: both Michael and Liam portrayed Michael Collins. While Liam did that in the eponymous movie, his son played in The Rising: 1916.
