Milan Pique Mebarak is the firstborn of Shakira and Gerard Pique. The singer announced her pregnancy in September 2012 by sharing a photo of her growing baby bump. Moreover, the boy’s first photo taken during ultrasound was posted on Gerard’s Instagram.
After their son drew his first breath, the happy parents explained the name choice. Milan signifies kind, loving plus gracious in Slavic while its Ancient Roman meaning is eager plus hard-working. Moreover, the boy joined FC Barcelona immediately after his birth.
Being just several months old, Milan got involved into Shakira’s work and accompanied her to a recording studio. In April 2013, he appeared at The Voice with her. And in 2016, Milan, his dad and younger sibling supported Shakira at the Los40 Music Awards in Barcelona. Moreover, both Shakira and Gerard often share photos and videos of their sons on their social media.
A curious fact: Milan is a fan of Zootopia animated film, where his mom voiced Gazelle.
