Morgan Hawthorne (nee Harvey) is a daughter of Steve Harvey and his spouse Marjorie Harvey. Actually, Steve isn’t her biological dad as he adopted Morgan and her siblings after marrying their mom. Her biological father is Jim Townsend, but he doesn’t seem to be close with his daughter who never mentions his name publicly.
Having got a degree in baking and pastry at the Culinary Institute of America, Morgan worked for various bakeries and even shared her recipes on her dad’s show. Morgan gained popularity after launching culinary blog I Need Some Mo. Besides, she shares her recipes and kitchen tips on her YouTube channel. The woman tries to prove that cooking isn’t such a hard thing as it seems to be at first sight and everyone can cook a delicious dish. That’s why, the majority of her recipes are easy and quick.
Additionally, Morgan Harvey is an author of e-book Party Heart. It features 20 easy recipes for a perfect party including those that she invented for her daughter’s second birthday.
On October 12, 2013, Morgan tied knots with Kareem Hawthorne who is more famed as DJ Bruckup. Though they knew each other since their college days, they started dating only after graduation. In 2015, the spouses welcomed their only daughter, Elle. The woman’s Instagram is full of the photos of her husband and adorable daughter.
A curious fact: in 2018, Morgan and Kareem established the FroRibbean Fest to celebrate the varying sounds of black culture.
