Rande Gerber is a successful entrepreneur. Having got a bachelor’s degree in marketing at University of Arizona, he tried his hand at modeling but soon launched his own business.
In 1991, Rande created the Gerber Group chain with his siblings and soon, opened his first venue titled The Whiskey in New York’s Paramount Hotel. Today, the Gerber Group and his other firm Midnight Oil own a number of nightlife locations. In 2013, the businessman co-founded Casamigos Tequila brand with George Clooney.
Rande got acquainted with Cindy Crawford at the model’s manager’s nuptials in the early 1990s. As Cindy was married to Richard Gere at that time, they became just friends. However, their feelings turned romantic after her divorce and the lovebirds tied knots in the Bahamas on May 29, 1998. The ceremony was secret while the supermodel preferred walking down the aisle in a short lace dress and barefoot.
In 1999, the spouses welcomed son Presley. And in 2001, their daughter Kaia joined the family.
A curious fact: Rande was George Clooney’s best man at his wedding with Amal Clooney.
