Rocket Ayer Williams is a son of music star Pharrell Williams and his spouse Helen Lasichanh. In one of his interviews, the star explained such an unusual name and told that they named Rocket after a manmade machine that can go up and ascend along with getting inspired by the songs of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Herbie Hancock. The middle name is a tribute to jazz-funk musician Roy Ayers.
Rocket is a genius child. He learned to play piano at three and proceeded with teaching his dad about video games and gadgets. Rocket frequently accompanies Williams to various events. For instance, he supported his stellar father at the ceremony of getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as volunteered by handing out food to the homeless.
A curious fact: Pharrell’s soundtrack to Despicable Me titled Rocket’s Theme was dedicated to Rocket.
