Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is famed worldwide for her outstanding vocal and dancing skills. She started writing songs and fell in love with belly dance in early childhood. In 1991, the artist already presented her debut album Magia.

Shakira was in relationship with Argentine attorney Antonio de la Rua from 2000 to 2011. Since 2011, she has been romantically linked with FC Barcelona centre back Gerard Pique. The couple raises two adorable sons, Milan and Sasha.
