Shannen Doherty started her path to worldwide fame in 1981 by having a small part in Father Murphy television series. The following year, she debuted on the big screen in Night Shift Movie. Shannen proceeded with having roles in Little House on the Prairie plus Our House series.
In the 1990s, Doherty turned into a real star thanks to portraying Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210. She consolidated her success by starring in another hit television project, Charmed. Later, the performer had parts in North Shore and 90210 series as well as in a number of TV films. Simultaneously, Shannen Doherty appeared in some movies, comprising Mallrats, Striking Poses, Burning Palms and Back in the Day.
Moreover, Doherty launched three reality shows: Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty, Shannen Says and Off the Map with Shannen & Holly. She also directed some episodes of Charmed along with producing some of her projects, including BH90210.
Additionally, Shannen tried her hand at writing books. In 2010, she authored book Badass, which combines her autobiography and a self-help guide.
In 1993, Shannen planned to get hitched to entrepreneur Dean Jay Factor, but tied knots with actor Ashley Hamilton on October 11. The marriage was short-lived and ended in 1994. In 2002, the celebrity exchanged vows with Rick Salomon, but they called it quits in less than a year. On October 15, 2011, Doherty became a spouse of photographer Kurt Iswarienko.
In 2015, Shannen Doherty revealed that she had a breast cancer and in 2017, she announced about the disease remission after getting the necessary treatment. Unfortunately, in February 2020, the celebrity shared the sad news about having stage four cancer.
A curious fact: Shannen has an allergy to wool and chocolate.
