Shareef Rashaun O’Neal is the eldest son of Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie O’Neal. Having inherited his dad’s love for basketball and being 6’9″ tall, Shareef was a star already at high school and was called #1 player in California in 2017. He also played on the AAU circuit for Cal Supreme.
O’Neal proceeded with joining UCLA in 2018. However, while preparing for his debut season, he was diagnosed with a heart condition and passed through an open heart surgery in 2018. Having returned to the court, Shareef played 13 games for UCLA in the 2019/20 season. In February 2020, he transferred to LSU, his stellar father’s alma mater.
Apart from playing basketball, Shareef O’Neal is a reality TV star as he appeared in Shaunie’s Home Court show, created by his mother.
A curious fact: Shareef told that Kobe Bryant messaged him hours before his tragic death. Now, the young man has a tattoo dedicated to him.
