Stacey Dash first appeared on TV in 1982 movie Farrell: For the People and proceeded with having a part in The Cosby Show. She rose to fame in the late 1980s after starring in TV 101 series but became a real star thanks to portraying Dionne Davenport in Clueless film and TV series in the 1990s. Dash is also noted for her parts in The Strip, The Game and Single Ladies series.
Stacey debuted on the big screen in 1987 film Enemy Territory and later played in Mo’ Money, Renaissance Man, Cold Around the Heart, Paper Soldiers, Phantom Punch plus Dysfunctional Friends. Additionally, she was a commentator on Outnumbered talk show in 2014-2017.
Moreover, Stacey Dash appeared in various music videos, including Kanye West’s All Falls Down. In 2006, she launched her lingerie collection Letters of Marque and in 2016, the celebrity presented her book There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative.
In 1984-1992, Dash was romantically linked to music artist Christopher Williams, a father of her elder son Austin. She tied knots with producer Brian Lowell in 1999 and in 2003, their daughter Lola drew her first breath. However, soon after the girl’s birth the couple called it quits. In 2005-2006, Stacey was shortly married to CEO James Maby and had one more marriage to actor Emmanuel Xuereb in 2007-2011. In 2018, she got hitched to lawyer Jeffrey Marty.
A curious fact: Stacey had rather a troubled childhood. Her parents were drug addicts and introduced her to cocaine when she was 16. Moreover, she was sexually assaulted by a family friend as a child. All those events pushed her forward to commit a suicide by overdosing on medication in her teen years, but, fortunately, that attempt failed.
