Bio

Trace Dempsey Cyrus is a son of Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. The latter adopted him when he was a toddler. His biological dad is drummer Baxter Neal Helson while Trace’s birth name is actually Neil Timothy Helson.

Since early childhood, Trace was on tours with Billy Ray and knew that music was his main passion. In 2006, he formed the band Metro Station, serving as its guitarist and providing backing vocals. In 2010, the group disbanded but reunited in 2014 to release album Savior. In 2017, Metro Station’s members’ ways parted but in 2020, Trace announced that they would perform together again. Moreover, Cyrus performed with Ashland HIGH group and recorded two albums with it.

Besides, Trace Cyrus co-authored his dad’s song Wanna Be Your Joe and appeared in his video for Somebody Said a Prayer. He made a contribution to Miley’s single Hovering and Brother Clyde’s song Alive. By the way, his music sounded in The House Bunny and Fragments films.

In 2009, Cyrus was romantically linked to Demi Lovato. From 2010 to 2017, he dated TV star Brenda Song on and off. Trace was engaged to Taylor Lauren Sanders, but they called it quits in late 2019.

A curious fact: like his sister Miley, Trace adores tattoos. His entire torso is covered with them as well as a part of the face.
