Zen Anton Hilario Perego-Saldana is a younger son of Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego. His second name is a tribute to his mom’s stepfather Hilario.
Zoe and Marco raise Zen and his siblings to be bilingual. The boys speak both English and Spanish. Though Zoe rarely takes her kids to red carpet events, Bowie, Cy and Zen accompanied her to the ceremony of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A curious fact: Saldana almost didn’t have a maternity leave when Zen was born. First, she completed filming I Kill Giants just a month before his birth. And then, the celebrity returned to work when Zen was only 2 months old to play in Avengers: Infinity War.
